Developing a Strategic Plan for Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences

On July 1, 2013, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) became the health care education, research, and clinical division of Rutgers University. RBHS is comprised of most of the units of the former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, several existing Rutgers units with key health-related missions including the Institute for Health, and two research units that historically were jointly operated by Rutgers and UMDNJ.

RBHS aspires to be recognized as one of the best academic health centers in the country in terms of teaching, research, and clinical care. A strategic planning process for RBHS has been developed to achieve success. To become a national leader, we must ascend to a new level of excellence and integration across all our professions, schools, and units. Read more about the strategic plan here.
